Government Affairs Committee

The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) of the Home Builders Association of Greater Savannah (HBAGS) serves as the primary forum for examining state and local legislation affecting the residential construction industry. This dedicated group of builders and associated members thoroughly reviews existing and proposed laws to assess their potential impact on our industry and determines HBA’s official stance on each bill.

In addition to evaluating legislation, the GAC actively proposes new laws to address the current challenges our members encounter in their businesses. By advocating for beneficial regulatory changes, the committee aims to foster a favorable environment for home building and related industries in the Savannah area.

The Government Affairs Committee meets once monthly at the HBAGS office. This ensures that our members are consistently informed and engaged with the legislative process.
